Accessibility-first tutorial workflows
Video is great for hearing an effect in context. Text is great for scanning steps, copying settings, and using a screen reader without chasing a timeline.
Every tutorial gets a text partner
- Record the video with spoken cues for on-screen actions (“opening the piano roll”, “moving playhead to bar nine”).
- Publish a blog post with the same steps in numbered lists and meaningful headings.
- Link both directions: video description links here; this page links to the video.
Writing for screen readers
- One idea per heading level — do not skip from h1 to h4.
- Spell out abbreviations the first time they appear.
- Describe outcomes, not colors alone (“when clipping lights, reduce input gain”).
Captions and transcripts
When captions are available on a platform, Leo enables them. Full transcripts for every video are a future goal; text tutorials are the baseline today.
